The Arizona Sleep Society has an annual meeting in October for all of its members to provide education and networking. the meeting usually occurs on the second or third Saturday of the month. The AZSS Annual Sleep Conference draws 80-120 attendees annually and has 6-12 exhibitors that usually include, Respironics, ResMed, Fisher&Paykel, Natus, Sleep Virtual, MVAP, ICE, and many others. The speakers each year provide interesting and various topics related to sleep and sleep disorders medicine from Pediatrics to the Adult and Geriatric age groups. Continuing Education is an important part of sleep medicine. Technology and research in sleep medicine continue to advance at a steady pace requiring review of new and traditional educational resources. The AZSS is working on providing resources and education to the community at large regarding sleep health with specific target of Drowsy Driving and Sleep Hygiene. Additionally, resources for schools and other entities is available from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the National Sleep Foundation.
